Lettings are calculated on a weekly basis from 4pm Saturday to 10am the following Saturday.

Rates start from £280 to £400 per week per, email for available dates and prices.

Payment Contact us to check availability of dates. Deposit of 25% payable via cheque with the balance of payment to be paid 8 weeks prior to arrival date.

A telephone reservation will be held for 7 working days pending receipt of deposit. On receipt of deposit the booking will be confirmed.

Bookings within 8 weeks of arrival date are payable in full. Bookings made within 14 days of arrival should be paid in full by cheque.

Cancellation: If you need to cancel a reservation for any reason, we must be notified by telephone immediately and cancellation must be confirmed in writing within five days.

Adverse Travel Conditions: Travel to the island can occasionally be disrupted due to bad weather. Where there are ferry/plane disruptions due to weather conditions, technical fault/breakdown or any form of industrial action, Hawthorn Cottage cannot be held responsible for non-arrival at the cottage and no refunds will be given.

Protect your holiday: To minimise the cost and inconvenience of cancelled bookings we strongly advise you to take out holiday insurance. You may otherwise have to forfeit the full cost of your holiday in certain circumstances.

Vehicles/Personal Property. Vehicles, accessories and contents are left at their owners risk.

The proprietors will not be held responsible for any loss or damage or any injury to persons not caused through the fault of the proprietor.

Cleaning. The property should be left clean and tidy on departure and any damages must be reported prior to departure. Property or accommodation left in a dirty or inappropriate manner may result in an additional cleaning surcharge.

Restriction on Rental. We reserve the right to remove person or persons from the property due to unreasonable behaviour, damage to the property or exceeding the stated occupancy. In this case refund will be at the discretion of the owners.

There is a no smoking policy within the cottage ! We are sorry we cannot accept pets.

Guests are reminded that Hawthorn Cottage is in a rural location with a salmon river close by, there are usually Highland Cattle secured in the fields around the cottage and whilst this enhances the charm of the cottage parents with young children are advised to keep them under supervision at all time.

Fishing is not permitted in the river but salmon and trout fishing are available on the nearby Scaliscro Estate contact them direct for details.
